I am a fun loving self-confessed coffee, chocolate and iPhone aholic devoted to my three beautiful and well photographed children, who consistently provide me with inspiration and joy…..and even laugh at my bad jokes.

Self Portrait

From the age of 5 (when I got my first camera for Christmas) I have been passionate about photography, a passion that is reflected in my commitment to my work. This combined with my love of people and a relaxed, approachable style means I am able to help my clients feel at ease (I have a particular dislike of being photographed so know how important this is).

I have been in the business for nearly 15 years. After studying photography at school I started my career as an assistant to a prominent wedding photographer which inspired me to complete a course through the New York Institute of Photographers. Starting Shannon Godfrey Photography in 2005 has allowed me to focus my business in areas I particularly love – weddings and children’s portraits and while this is my speciality I am equally happy in other fields such as product shoots and business profile shots.

Based on Auckland’s North Shore, I am surrounded by stunning beaches that offer numerous outdoor opportunities for photo shoots. I am more than happy to suggest locations or work in with your own personal location.

I want my photographs to be timeless, something you can look at in 20 years time and still think “I love that photograph”. For me it is about capturing special moments in a combination of un-posed fun shots and natural poses.

I take pride in producing a professional package for my clients whilst keeping my pricing affordable. I would love to help capture your special memories, so please take a look at my portfolio, give me a call and see if I am the right photographer for you.
